Technical Consultant

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  1. Meeting with clients to determine requirements.
  2. Working with clients to define the scope of a project.
  3. Planning timescales and the resources needed.
  4. Clarifying a client’s system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business.
  5. Travelling to customer sites.
  6. Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organisation.
  7. Defining software, hardware and network requirements.
  8. Analysing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT.
  9. Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems.
  10. Produce high quality of solutions, design, and consulting documents.
  11. Presenting solutions in written or oral reports.
  12. Helping clients with change-management activities.
  13. Managing design and implementation of preferred solutions.
  14. Designing, testing and monitoring new systems.
  15. Conduct design sessions, seminars and public presentations
  16. Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers.
  17. Organising training for users and other consultants.
  18. Being involved in sales and support and, where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organisations.
  19. Identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts.


  1. Male or Female, max age 40 y.o
  2. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience required.
  3. Prefereably from technical hands-on/engineering background.
  4. Minimum 5 years working experience as IT Consultant is required for this role.
  5. Minimum 8 years of working experience as IT Consultant for senior consultant role or principal consultant role
  6. Previous experiences in global IT consulting companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, EY, PWC, etc will be highly regarded.
  7. Advanced and broad knowledge in at least one of the following technologies: infrastructure connectivity, security, unfied communication technologies.
  8. Understand business process and has previous experiences in at least one of the following industry: Banking and Financial, Insurance, Mining & Petroleum, Telco service provider, Pharmacies, Manufacturing.
  9. Strong technical/‚Äčanalytical.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
  11. Ability to listen attentively; display patience and flexibility.
  12. Analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions.
  13. Make independent decisions using sound judgment;
  14. Develop and implement new processes and methods
  15. Organize and prioritize work load
  16. Ability to maintain a professional relationship with customers and employees.
  17. Well organized, high attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  18. Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and prioritize tasks.
  19. Microsoft, Cisco, voice/unified communication, and vendor netural security certification such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, CISA, etc are highly desirable.
