UC Engineer

Essential duties and responsibilites:

  1. Maintains current and thorough knowledge of unified communication technologies (IP-PBX, Call processing, dial plan, and voice mail)
  2. Maintains current and thorough knowledge of relevant complimentary technologies (e.​g.​ network based faxing, video, call recording, contact centre​, IVR, ACD, etc)
  3. Implements connectivity to legacy customer systems, particularly legacy TDM PBX systems (Avaya, Nortel, etc.​)
  4. Responsible for product evaluation, process improvement, and practice refinement activities on occasion
  5. Actively participate in the planning, design, and implementation of Unified Communication systems, infrastructure and related hardware for customers.
  6. Implementing test plans, migration plans & delivery plans.
  7. Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  8. Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network supporting the Unified Communications
  9. Network and application troubleshooting.
  10. Deliver high-quality solutions to our customers to ensure their investment in technology is consistent with their business objectives.
  11. Works with our customers to evaluate network health and capacity planning
  12. Provides knowledge transfer and documentation to our customers.
  13. Work in a team environment.

Requirements:

  1. Male or Female, max age 30 y.o.
  2. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience required.
  3. Minimum 2 years of supporting and troubleshooting a medium to large enterprise network infrastructure.
  4. Fresh graduate with Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information system related field with exceptional academic record will also be considered for junior positions.
  5. Strong technical/​analytical.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
  7. Experience with Active Directory, Exchange and Microsoft core infrastructure technologies
  8. Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following technologies: Microsoft OCS/UC technologies, Cisco, Avaya and Asterisks.
  9. Experience with VoIP gateway configuration, unified messaging, ACD and IVR systems is a definite plus.
  10. Ability to listen attentively; display patience and flexibility.

  13. Organize and prioritize work load.
  14. Ability to maintain a professional relationship with customers and employees.

  17. Cisco Certification highly desirable.
